Eligibility Criteria for the Ontario Home Efficiency Rebate
- Installation: To qualify for the rebate program, you must complete at least two upgrades and an energy audit. Your air source heat pump must be installed by a licensed professional (ATEL Air)
- Products: An ATEL Air Advisor will ensure your heat pump is listed as eligible and compatible with all necessary components for installation for the Home Efficiency Rebate Program.
- Energy Audit: The final audit must be completed within 120 days of the first assessment or by Dec. 31, 2025, whichever comes first.
- Enbridge Gas: Your home must be heated with Enbridge Gas at either the initial or final audit. The heat pump system must be capable of distributing heat throughout the entire pace in your home.
- Location of Installed Equipment: Both primary and non-primary residences qualify. Only detached, semi-detached, row, and mobile homes on a permanent foundation are eligible. The homeowner must be the applicant.
